Study Overview
This study is exploring a treatment for people with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. The treatment involves a medicine called ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel), given after a special process called lymphodepletion. This process lowers the number of certain white blood cells using drugs like fludarabine or cyclophosphamide.
Eligibility Criteria
To join, participants need to have a diagnosis of multiple myeloma, have received some initial treatment, and show at least partial improvement. They also need to be unable or unwilling to undergo high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell transplantation due to age, health conditions, or personal choice. Some health issues, such as certain allergies or needing extra oxygen, may prevent participation.
Key Points
- The study requires participants to have completed 3 to 5 cycles of initial treatment.
- Enrollment is limited to those achieving at least a partial response to prior therapy.
- Participants must be able to follow specific lifestyle rules during the study.
This study aims to see if cilta-cel can be a safe and effective option for people with multiple myeloma who meet these criteria.
