Phase N/A

This study is testing a new app called UR Caregiver to help people who take care of someone with dementia manage their stress. Dementia is a condition that affects the brain, making it hard for people to remember things or think clearly. Taking care of someone with dementia can be very stressful, and this stress can be bad for mental health. The app uses strategies from cognitive-behavioral therapy (a type of psychological treatment) to help caregivers feel better.

The study will have caregivers use the app for 8 weeks and check their stress and mental health before, after, and at a later time. Caregivers will be put into one of three groups: using UR Caregiver, using a different app, or using no app. This will help researchers see how well the app works.

  • The study lasts for 8 weeks, and caregivers must use a smartphone or tablet.
  • Participants can't already be using a similar stress-management app.
  • Only caregivers who provide most of the care for someone with dementia can join.
