Bicalutamide Therapy in Young Women With NAFLD and PCOS

This study is looking at how bicalutamide, a medicine that blocks male hormones called androgens, might help women with two health issues: NAFLD and PCOS. NAFLD stands for Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, which means having too much fat in the liver. PCOS means Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, a condition with hormone imbalance. The study aims to find out if androgens affect liver health in women with these conditions. Women aged 18-42 years will take either bicalutamide or a placebo (a pill with no medicine) daily for 6 months. The study will measure changes in liver health, fat levels, and body fat using special scans like MRI. Participants will visit the study center monthly for 6 months and have a phone check-up after the study ends.
