Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormone problem in women that can affect periods and hormones. It often involves insulin resistance (when the body doesn't use insulin well, making blood sugar levels rise) and glycemic dysregulation (abnormal blood sugar levels). This study will use a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), a device that tracks blood sugar levels throughout the day, to better understand blood sugar patterns in women with PCOS.
The study will have two parts. In the first part, women with and without PCOS will wear a CGM for 10 days. In the second part, some women with PCOS will continue using the CGM for 90 days to see if it helps improve their metabolism and reproductive health. All participants will get advice on diet and exercise.
- The study is for women aged 18-45 with access to a smartphone.
- Participants will need to wear a CGM for either 10 or 90 days.
- It's important to have no history of using diabetes medications or having diabetes.
