This study aims to help older adults with memory loss, cognitive issues, or dementia, and their caregivers to improve their sleep through a special program called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi). CBTi is a type of therapy that helps people develop better sleep habits without using medicine. It involves techniques like sleep hygiene (good sleeping environment and habits), relaxation, and restructuring thoughts about sleep. Sleep problems are common in people with dementia and their caregivers, affecting their quality of life.
The study will last for 6 weeks and involve videoconference sessions, so participants can join from home. Caregivers and those with memory issues will have sessions together to see if this approach is effective and practical. The study will also include interviews to understand participants' experiences.
