This study looks at how well Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works after using esketamine for people with major depression and thoughts of suicide. Esketamine is a medicine that helps treat serious depression. CBT is a type of therapy that helps people change negative thoughts and behaviors. Some people in the study will get CBT with the help of a computer, while others will receive the usual care (TAU) after taking esketamine.
The study wants to know if it's safe and possible to do a larger study on how well CBT works with esketamine. It will also look at how esketamine and CBT together affect depression and suicidal thoughts.
- The study is expected to enroll 100 people, both inpatients and outpatients.
- You must be between 18-65 years old and have a major depressive disorder to join.
- Excludes those with certain mental disorders, recent substance use, or previous esketamine treatment without results.
