This study compares two medicines, *ticagrelor* and *cilostazol*, used to treat large-vessel ischemic stroke, which happens when a blood clot blocks blood flow to the brain. The study takes place at Kafr el-Sheikh University and lasts from December 2022 to February 2024. Participants receive either ticagrelor or cilostazol and are monitored for 90 days. The study measures how well the medicines prevent new strokes and any side effects. The NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) and mRS (Modified Rankin Scale) are tools used to check stroke severity and recovery.
- The study lasts 3 months and involves multiple visits for check-ups and tests like MRI and CT scans.
- Participants must be aged 18-75, have their first large-vessel ischemic stroke, and receive treatment within 24 hours.
- Risks include potential drug side effects and requirements to avoid certain medications and conditions.
