This study explores how **medical cannabis (MC)**, a plant-based treatment, may impact **pain** and **opioid** use, which are strong pain-relief drugs. Participants with long-term pain using prescribed opioids can either choose to use MC or not for three months. Those opting for MC will buy it at a lower cost from a specific store each month. All participants will fill out surveys at the start, daily, and monthly to track any changes in pain and opioid use.
The study will have two groups: one using MC and one not. Participants will answer questions about their **pain, sleep, mental health**, and **quality of life**. Those buying MC at Ethos will try different MC types, including THC (a chemical in cannabis causing a "high") and CBD (another chemical without the "high").
- The study lasts for 3 months.
- Participants will complete daily and monthly surveys.
- Reduced-cost MC is available for those in the MC group.
