Study Objective: The study wants to see if a special breathing treatment, called mechanical insufflation-exsufflation (MI-E), helps increase organ donation. MI-E is a machine that helps clear out the lungs. The study will be held in four hospitals and will include 160 organ donors who are older than 18 years.

Study Process: The donors will be split into two groups. Group 1 will follow regular national guidelines. Group 2 will follow the same guidelines plus get special breathing treatments using MI-E and manual techniques to clear the lungs. Researchers will compare lung function and how many lungs are donated from both groups.

• Participation: If you are older than 18 and a donor, you might be included.
• Risks: Those with conditions that make MI-E or organ donation unsafe cannot join.
• Study Centers: Four hospitals are involved, including Hospital Clínic in Barcelona and others.

This study aims to find better ways to support organ donation, potentially saving more lives.
