Phase N/A

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) causes stomach pain and changes in your bathroom habits. Scientists think this might be due to an imbalance in the germs in your gut, called dysbiosis. This study is testing a treatment called Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), which uses healthy poop to fix this imbalance. The study will check if FMT works better than fake treatments called placebos. Participants will be divided into three groups: one receiving placebos, one getting FMT through an enema (a liquid treatment into the lower gut), and one taking FMT pills.

  • Participation Length: The duration isn't specified, but participants must be available for study visits.
  • Eligibility: Must be 18-70 years old, diagnosed with IBS, and able to give consent.
  • Risks: The study uses less invasive methods like pills and enemas to reduce risks and costs.
