Study on Whole Body Vibration (WBV) for Obese Female Students

Obesity, meaning too much body fat, is a big problem worldwide. It's measured by Body Mass Index (BMI), where a BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. In this study, we are exploring how whole body vibration, or WBV, might help. WBV means standing on a special platform that vibrates, which could help improve balance and strength.

Young people who are obese might have trouble balancing due to extra weight. This could be because their feet feel less or because their body moves differently due to the weight. WBV might help by making the muscles work harder to keep balance. The study will focus on how WBV training can affect balance and strength by using different vibrations and body positions.

  • Participants must be female students aged 18-25 with a BMI of 30 or more.
  • The study excludes those who are pregnant, have certain health issues, or exercise more than 3 times a week.
  • Participation involves using a vibrating platform, which can help improve balance and strength.
