Study on hip replacement recovery and activity levels.

Recruiting
30 years and older
All
Phase N/A

This study observes how well people function after getting a new hip through total hip replacement surgery. It uses special gadgets to track how participants move, sleep, and their overall health after surgery. The main tools used are a study iPhone and two wrist monitors. These gadgets will help doctors understand daily activities and health signs like heart rate and blood pressure.

About 25 people will join this study. It starts with a 1-week screening, then a 1-week baseline period, followed by up to 6 weeks of monitoring after surgery. You will only need to visit the clinic at the start and end of the study. Most of the data will be collected remotely, meaning you can stay at home.

  • **Length:** Study lasts up to 8 weeks, with key data collected remotely.
  • **Visits:** Only 2 clinic visits are required (start and end).
  • **Eligibility:** Must have hip osteoarthritis, be over 30, and able to use a smartphone app.
