The study is called Discover In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest, which looks at what happens to patients after their heart stops while they're in the hospital. A heart attack is when the heart stops pumping blood, and doctors use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to try to get it going again. This study will help us learn more about how hospitals take care of patients after this happens, especially about controlling the patient's body temperature and predicting how well they will recover. The project is supported by an important group of doctors called the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

• Patients must have their heart beating again for at least 20 minutes or be on a special heart-lung machine.
