Learn about breastfeeding through a helpful teach-back method!

Phase N/A

This study helps new moms learn about breastfeeding using the "Teach-Back" method. This method involves repeating back what you've learned to ensure you understand. Researchers hope it helps moms feel more confident about breastfeeding, which can sometimes be stressful. The study involves 68 women who recently gave birth. They will be divided into two groups: one receives special breastfeeding lessons, and the other does not. Both groups will complete forms and scales to measure their confidence and anxiety about breastfeeding. The scales used include the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale, which measures confidence from 14 (low) to 70 (high), and the Beck Anxiety Scale, which measures anxiety from 0 (low) to 63 (high). Those with high scores on these scales mean they have greater confidence or anxiety.

  • The study lasts throughout the postpartum period for the participants.
  • Participants will be randomly assigned to either a teaching group or a regular group.
  • Data collection involves filling out forms and scales.

If you live in Iğdır city center, can read and write, and have just had your first baby, you might qualify for this study.
