Study Summary: This study looks at how the air quality in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) affects patients' health, especially those with heart problems. Air pollution is made up of tiny particles, like *particulate matter* (PM2.5 and PM10), which are small bits in the air that can be breathed in and enter the lungs and bloodstream. These particles might cause heart issues, such as *arrhythmia* (irregular heartbeat) and *myocardial infarction* (heart attack).

In hospitals, air quality is important. It includes factors like temperature, humidity (how much moisture is in the air), and how well the air circulates. Poor air quality can help germs spread, leading to *hospital-acquired infections* (HAIs), which are infections people get while in the hospital. This study will explore these connections further and is seeking participants.
  • The study is for adults over 18 who can stay in the ICU for at least 2 days.
  • Pregnant women cannot participate.
  • Participants or their families must understand the study and consent to join.
