This study is testing how well diclofenac sodium, a type of medicine, can kill bacteria in infected teeth. It will compare it to another common treatment called calcium hydroxide paste. Both of these are used as intracanal medications, which are placed inside the root canals of teeth to fight infection. The study will focus on patients with a condition called chronic apical periodontitis, an infection at the tip of a tooth root. The researchers will take samples from the teeth before and after treatment to see which medicine works better at reducing bacteria.
