This study is about checking the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease using smartphones and smartwatches. *Parkinson's disease* is a brain disorder that leads to shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking and balance. The study is taking place in hospitals in Belgium and is expected to last around 9 months. Participants will have to visit the hospital three times: at the start, after four months, and after eight months.
Participants will need to install an app on their Android phones. Data from the devices will help researchers understand how Parkinson's affects daily activities like eating, sleeping, and moving around. The study wants to create a special tool called the Quality-of-Life Index (Q-index) that can measure how Parkinson's disease affects people. This tool will use information from phones and watches to give insights into a person's daily life.
- The study lasts 9 months with 3 check-in visits.
- Participants must have an Android smartphone and install an app.
- The study is conducted in Belgium and involves wearing smart devices.
This study will help doctors better understand and monitor the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease. They will compare the data collected with answers from questionnaires to ensure accurate results.
