This study focuses on people living with **HIV** (a virus that weakens the immune system) to find out how common oral **HPV** (a virus that can cause mouth infections) is and how it relates to oral lesions (sores or bumps in the mouth). Researchers will study 300 participants from the Vivent Clinic, collecting information like age, race, tobacco and alcohol use, and **CD4 count** (a measure of immune health). Participants will need to do an oral swish and spit test and have a dental exam. The clinic provides medical care and support services like pharmacy access and mental health programs.
Key Points:
- Participants need to visit the clinic at least twice and give consent for their medical records to be checked.
- The study is only for those with a **CD4 count** above 200 cells/ml and no history of mouth cancer.
- All participants must be able to perform the oral test and have a dental exam.
