This study is about testing a tool called the Hypotension Prediction Index (HPI) used during lung surgery. The HPI helps doctors predict if a patient’s blood pressure will drop too low during surgery. It uses a special monitor that reads the blood pressure through a waveform, which is like a pattern or a wave showing how blood pressure changes. The study will include 60 adult patients having lung surgery with only one lung working during the operation. Doctors want to see if this tool works well during these types of surgeries.

  • Visits Needed: Patients will be monitored during the surgery only.
  • Study Duration: The study occurs during the surgery which lasts over 2 hours.
  • Risks: No direct risks from the study, but usual surgical risks apply.

Participants need to be adults having certain types of lung surgeries and will be monitored using special equipment. People with certain heart issues or emergencies can’t join. The study hopes to make surgeries safer by predicting blood pressure issues.
