Disorders of Gut-brain Interaction (DGBI) affect how the brain and stomach communicate, causing stomach problems without obvious signs in tests. These include laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), functional dyspepsia (FD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). People with DGBI often have an autonomic nervous system imbalance, with less parasympathetic activity (calming part) and more sympathetic activity (stress part). Diaphragmatic breathing can help calm the body by boosting parasympathetic activity. This study will test how breathing exercises help people with DGBI. Participants will be randomly assigned to try diaphragmatic breathing and have their symptoms checked before and after.
- The study is for people aged 18-70 who are mentally alert, have no severe stomach issues, and can sign a consent form.
- Participants need to track their symptoms for at least three months.
- Pregnant women and those with certain health issues like antibiotic resistance or recent heart problems cannot participate.
