This study looks at the connection between certain blood markers and a condition called GVHD in patients who have had a stem cell transplant for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). GVHD, or Graft-Versus-Host Disease, happens when the new stem cells attack the body. The study examines pyroptosis markers (like Gasdermin-D and NLRP-3), which are substances in the blood that indicate a type of cell death. It also looks at endothelial damage markers, which show blood vessel damage. These markers are checked at different times before and after the transplant to see if they can predict GVHD or other complications. Patients are monitored for up to two years.
- Participants are monitored for up to two years.
- Blood samples are taken multiple times before and after transplant.
- Eligible participants must be 18 or older and have AML.
