This study explores a new way to help people with Locked-In Syndrome (LIS), who are paralyzed and can't talk but can think normally. The study uses a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), which is a system that helps the brain communicate with computers. Participants in the study will have a special device called an **ECoG** (Electrocorticography) implanted on their brain. This device has electrode grids that listen to brain signals and help with communication. Participants will have visits 2-3 times a week for a year to train and use this device. If it works, they can use it at home without help.
- Study Length: Participation lasts 1 year, with possible extension.
- Visits Needed: 2-3 times a week for training and testing.
- Implantation: Requires a surgery to implant the device.
