This study is about people with type 2 diabetes (a condition where the body can't use sugar properly) who have lost all their upper and lower teeth. The study will look at how well dentures, which are teeth replacements, work when held in place by 4 implants in the lower jaw. If you have high sugar levels in your blood, it can cause inflammation (swelling) and bone loss. However, with the right conditions, implants can still work well over time.
- The study is for people who have had no teeth for at least 12 months.
- Participants must have problems keeping lower dentures in place.
- To join, you must have a certain amount of bone in the lower jaw.
To participate, you should not have received implants elsewhere, have more than 4 implants, or have very well-controlled diabetes. You also shouldn't smoke a lot, drink alcohol excessively, or have certain health issues.
