This study looks at how a special type of pain relief called a block can help when machines help you breathe. Machines that help people breathe, called mechanical ventilators, can sometimes hurt the lungs. This is called ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI). The amount of energy the machine uses is known as mechanical power (MP). After Covid-19, researchers are very interested in finding ways to protect the lungs. This study checks if using a certain block, called bilateral rectus sheath and OSTAP (Oblique Subcostal Transversus Abdominis Plane), helps patients who need mechanical ventilation.

• The study is for adults aged 18 to 65 who need laparoscopic gallbladder surgery.
• People with certain health problems or who don’t want to join can't participate.
• Participants won't be eligible if they are pregnant or allergic to local anesthesia.
